University Museums
Three separate museums, the Brunnier Art Museum, the Christian Petersen Art Museum and the Farm House Museum, along with the Art on Campus Collection make up the University Museums, which together act as a vital teaching resource that presents tours, programs, and events designed to educate and enlighten diverse audiences about art and culture.
The University Museums education staff works with Iowa State University, local K-12 schools and the community to design and present educational tours and programs that meet classroom needs. Programs are tailored to the diversity found at Iowa State University and address an audience comprised of students, academics, public school children, and community members.
University Museums Priorities
The University Museums seeks to raise $2.5 million during Campaign Iowa State, which will be used to endow a curator position. The new curator will focus on education and work closely with Iowa State faculty to integrate museum programs into Iowa State’s curriculum.
