Investing in Faculty

Extraordinary faculty drive the science and technology needed to solve complex problems. Our outstanding scientists are both teachers and mentors who have been given the opportunity — and the responsibility — to shape tomorrow’s leaders and expand the boundaries of student learning onto every continent.

To achieve even greater accomplishments, we must recruit, reward and retain pre-eminent faculty. The college seeks to add 20 endowed positions during the course of the campaign. This includes 15 endowed chair positions, half of which will be dedicated to expanding the college’s role in the bioeconomy.

When we provide faculty with the tools they need to explore uncharted avenues of research, enhance the tools they use in the classroom, or add significant expertise to an interdisciplinary field of research, we position the college for bold achievements that have great potential for global impact.
