Retirement Challenges

Office of Gift Planning ISU Foundation Gift Planning team

Ten years may seem like a long time, but those Iowa State University faculty and staff planning to retire within the next decade should be planning now for that possibility.

The Iowa State University Foundation Office of Gift Planning will offer "Overcoming the Challenges of Retirement and Estate Planning in the Decade Ahead" Tuesday, Oct. 13. The symposium will be held at The Gateway Hotel & Conference Center in Ames beginning at 6 p.m.

The symposium will feature a panel discussion moderated by Paul Caspersen, executive director of development in gift planning with the ISU Foundation. Caspersen is the former branch manager of the Ames TIAA-CREF office.

Panelists will include Vicki Feilmeyer, attorney with Nyemaster Goode; Craig Marrs, senior financial advisor with Ameriprise; and Pam Fleener, vice president and trust officer with First National Bank.

A light meal (heavy hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks) is included with registration beginning at 5:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend, and faculty/staff members’ spouses or guests are welcome to attend.

Seating is limited at the symposium. Pre-registration is suggested and due by Monday, Oct. 5. It is available online at www.foundation.iastate.edu/ogpsymposium or by calling 515.294.5398.
