The Dallas Center, Iowa, resident, formerly of Keokuk, Iowa, died at age 67 in August 2010, dividing his estate between Iowa State University, the University of Iowa, and the American Cancer Society, and contributing approximately $140,000 to each organization.

Plant Pathology Graduates Create Research Endowment at Iowa State University

Iowa State University Foundation Announces Six New Governors
Six individuals with strong ties to Iowa State University were recently elected governors of the Iowa State University Foundation. ISU Foundation governors, who are appointed for life, serve as ambassadors and advocates for Iowa State and the ISU Foundation, providing volunteer and financial support to benefit the university. This group meets semi-annually and many serve on a standing committee, including audit, awards, governance, communications, finance, and investment.

ISU Foundation raises more than $100 Million for sixth straight year

For the sixth straight year, benefactors to Iowa State University made gifts and future commitments totaling more than $100 million through the Iowa State University Foundation. Nearly 40,000 benefactors contributed $101.9 million between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012.


Leath announces goals, priorities during his installation as Iowa State University's 15th president
Iowa State University President Steven Leath today announced a goal to raise $150 million in private gifts for student financial aid over the next five years.

Leath unveiled the goal in his presidential installation address: “Educate. Innovate. Achieve!” Leath, who assumed the leadership post last January, was installed as Iowa State’s 15th president in a ceremony at Stephens Auditorium on the Iowa State campus.


Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust awards $7.5 million to advance research initiative in biomolecular structure; Iowa State proposes named department
Pending approval by the Board of Regents, Iowa State University’s Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology will be named in honor of the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust, in recognition of gifts and commitments to the department totaling more than $12.3 million.

Donors contribute more than $100 million to Iowa State
AMES, Iowa – For the seventh straight year, benefactors to Iowa State University made gifts and future commitments totaling more than $100 million through the Iowa State University Foundation. More than 37,000 donors contributed $112.6 million between July 1, 2012, and June 30, 2013.

Gift of $1.5 million benefits students in Iowa State’s College of Business
