ISU Foundation Launches Give Forward
On the heels of organizing the most successful fundraising effort in university history — Campaign Iowa State — the Iowa State University Foundation is launching a marketing promotion that celebrates the value of philanthropy at Iowa State.
Give Forward is designed to demonstrate how Iowa State benefactors are positively influencing the lives of Iowa State students and the world around them.
“We are privileged to work with donors on a daily basis and then see the direct impact of their gifts,” said Dan Saftig, president of the ISU Foundation. “Give Forward gives us the chance to tell personal stories of forward-thinking alumni and friends and show how their generosity is providing not only life-changing opportunities for our students, but game-changing research to help solve some of society’s most perplexing problems.”
Give Forward promotional spots will be featured during broadcasts of Iowa State football and men’s and women’s basketball games. The ISU Foundation promotion will also be seen at Jack Trice Stadium, Hilton Coliseum and through various publications and events.
Give Forward will tell stories of how the gifts of alumni and friends from as far back as 75 years ago continue to enhance lives today. Many of the beneficiaries of those gifts over the years have since established their own funds to support the generations that follow.
“Our donors certainly give back to Iowa State, but in reality, they give forward,” says Saftig. “Higher education remains the primary engine for upward mobility and Iowa State has a rich tradition of shaping productive citizens who contribute greatly to their families, their chosen field of expertise, the economy, and the communities in which they live. Give Forward characterizes the hopes and dreams of Iowa State donors and we are excited to share some of the compelling stories.”
