Iowa State University Foundation presents prestigious awards
The Iowa State University Foundation recognized the outstanding contributions of alumni and friends of Iowa State University with its most prestigious honors during the annual Distinguished Awards Celebration. The ceremony was held Friday, April 7, at Iowa State University’s Benton Auditorium. The foundation presented five awards honoring seven recipients.

Iowa State University Receives Important Gift of Art Valued at More Than $1.2 Million
Ames, IA – Iowa State University has received a gift of sculptures and drawings by important American artist Manuel Neri (American, b. 1930) from the Manuel Neri Trust of Benicia, California.

Zach honored with Charles and Mary Sukup Endowed Artist Award in Organ
Miriam Zach, adjunct assistant professor of music and theatre, is the inaugural recipient of the Charles and Mary Sukup Endowed Artist in Organ at Iowa State University. Zach was honored at a medallion ceremony held Wednesday, April 5 at the Martha-Ellen Tye Recital Hall in Music Hall.

Professorship in One Health Established in the College of Veterinary Medicine
A new endowed professorship has been created in Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine through a recent gift from Dr. Roger (’71) and Marilyn Mahr of St. Charles, Ill.
